Sathiye Sithiwilla (Thought of the Week) is a collection of selected articles from the Sunday Lankadeepa weekly column of the same name by Milinda Moragoda. The book brings together a selection of forty articles which have appeared during the period of 2002-2004. The focus of Sathiye Sithiwilla is on current affairs and addresses issues such as political reform, democracy, information technology, economic reform, international affairs, transportation policy, women’s affairs, the peace process and international affairs. Sathiye Sithiwilla takes over from his earlier column, Arthika Vigrahaya (Economic Review) which he wrote in the Sunday Lankadeepa for four years and which focused on economic matters.

Venerable Dr. Ittapane Dhammalankara Annunayake Thero, Former Secretary General of Parliament Sam Wijesinghe, and the Editor of the Lankadeepa, Siri Ranasinghe, have all contributed forewards to the book. In his foreward, the Ven. Ittapane Dhammalankara states "Truth is not two things. Truth is truth. Our politicians are far from the truth and Sathiye Sithiwilla will help them to realize the truth and reality to move the country forward”.
